College has definitely been an interesting experience for me. Just when you think you've got it down, everything can change and I seem to spend a lot more time confused lately. I wish I had known to bring my ISUcard with me everywhere and that it would be my lifeline. I forgot to grab it the first night here and got myself locked out of Helser in my pajamas. (Oops.) I also wish that I had known that my Math 142 professor is a little crazy and psycho. The first day, he told the class that everything we learned in high school trigonometry is wrong. What do you do in that situation? You learn it all over again....grrr.....
Sure, college has been quite a change for me from what I was used to, but don't we all need a little change every once in a while? Life just wouldn't be fun without it....
Your card might not have helped you that first night anyway. Mine was activated till a day or two after I moved in so I couldn't get into my building either at night.
ReplyDeleteCollege is a big change. As for ur math teacher, i guess a little review never hurts right?
ReplyDeleteI agree, Christina. New challenges are definately something that should be embraced, and it does make life much more interesting. Also, I'm glad you felt comfortable enough with us to share your ISU card mishap haha.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to have new experiences and so I agree with you Christina! I'm so glad though I don't have any math classes haha ;) that must really suck.
ReplyDeleteYour right change is good. Without change then you can't meet now friends because that would be something different.. and if that were the case we wouldn't know each other...wouldn't that be terrible!?!
ReplyDeleteCollege is a whole new world compared to high school. Without changes in our lives, this world would be so boring! Way to embrace your challenges!
ReplyDeleteIts those little things like forgetting you ISU card that you learn from. You just need to take that and keep moving forward.
ReplyDeleteIf there was no change in life, there would be no butterflies. :) i am glad overall you are adjusting well.
ReplyDeleteYOu have Ellis for math dont you?? Ya thats all he really does, is complain about highschool and how it has failed.
ReplyDeleteForgetting your ISU card would be pretty horrible. Some of my professors are crazy too, i know where your coming from!
ReplyDeleteChange is a great thing! And yes your ISU card should be attached to you for as long as you are here at iowa state, but dont worry by the time next summer gets here you will think you are forgetting something everytime you walk out of your house without it. Good Luck with the math class!
ReplyDeleteWell atleast now you know that your ISU card is pretty much your lifeline anywhere on campus :).
ReplyDeleteYou have a very positive outlook, and lessons learned are never a bad thing, as long as you remember and try not to make the same mistakes twice.
